Wingshooting
in South Africa with South African Hunting
Safaris. The South African wingshooting specialists!
Geese
Wingshooting for
geese is conducted mainly on peanut fields. We concentrate on
morning and evening flights, when they are on their way to and from
roosting grounds.
Some large bags can be taken on these outings as there are vast
quantities of geese attacking the peanut crops. They cause major
problems on arable land, and thus our activities are very appreciated by
the farmers.
Wingshooting
season for geese in South Africa is from May – August.
Ducks
We hunt ducks by
pass-shooting on flight ponds in the morning and evening.
Wingshooting season for ducks in South Africa is from May – August.
Doves
and Pigeons
This is some of the most
exciting and challenging shooting available anywhere in the world. It is
the equal with Argentina, but at a more reasonable cost.
Clients can shoot bags of
over 400 birds depending on ability and stamina. We try to vary our bird
shooting to cover most of the species available.
Doves and pigeons are
shot on fields where they are feeding, which is usually sunflowers or
maize. There is no season or bag limit but the optimum time for
wingshooting doves and pigeons in South Africa is March–July. |
